About Austin
Built, lost, rebuilt.
Some of what Austin has faced happened to him. Some of it came from choices he made. He talks about both honestly.

- 01
Earned it
Austin worked his way from junior college football to a Division I roster and a full athletic scholarship.
- 02
Lost it
His decision to sell marijuana cost him the scholarship and his place on the team.
- 03
Responded
The next semester he earned about a 3.8 and made the Dean's List. He went on to play at Central Washington University and finished his degree.
- 04
Built
He built a career in operations and business, including logistics, restaurant ownership, and support for wildland firefighting crews.
- 05
Coached
Through boxing he found his place in the corner of young athletes. He coached athletes to 20 national championships.
- 06
Faced what he didn't choose
In 2025 he was diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin lymphoma. After about a month in the hospital, including time in the ICU, he needed a walker. Four laps became eight. Eight became twelve. After seven rounds of chemotherapy, he is in remission.
